Professional Membership
Professional Membership is available to individuals working in the live entertainment industry who fall into one of the categories defined below.
Attendance at our annual conference connects members in an intimate setting, builds stronger business relationships, and offers a first look at the next touring season’s talent.
IEBA members have voting privileges, access to key decision makers through our Membership Directory and are invited to IEBA Membership Mixers in Los Angeles, New York City and Nashville.

Professional Membership = $125/year
Young Professional Membership
Young Professional Membership is available for individuals under the age of 30 working in the live entertainment industry and fall into one of the categories defined below. (ID Required)
The YP membership is an exciting way for the next generation to get involved with IEBA early in their careers. YP members are eligible for nomination for IEBA’s Young Professional of the Year award, presented at the Honors and Awards Ceremony at our annual conference. YP members have full membership benefits, including voting privileges, access to our Membership Directory, and are invited to our Membership Mixers.

Young Professional Membership = $75/year
Student & EDUCATOR Membership
Student & Educator members enjoy membership benefits including access to the IEBA Membership Directory and invitations to our Membership Mixers, but do not include voting privileges.
You MUST have, and register with, a .edu address to qualify for IEBA Educator/Student membership and conference registration.
Additionally, you must be currently enrolled at a college, university, or trade school -OR-be full-time faculty as an entertainment industry educator, teaching students in a classroom setting.

Talent Buyer Membership Categories
CASINO BUYERS
Casino Buyers are responsible for booking live entertainment for casino properties and resort entertainment venues. These members program concerts, comedy shows, and other ticketed or complimentary entertainment that supports the casino’s overall entertainment and guest experience strategy. Casino Buyers may be employed directly by casino properties or work as independent talent buyers contracted to curate entertainment programming for casino venues.
CORPORATE BUYERS
Corporate Buyers book live entertainment for corporate events, private functions, conventions, brand activations, and hospitality experiences. These members select and contract talent to perform at events designed to entertain employees, clients, partners, or invited guests. Corporate Buyers coordinate closely with event planners, production teams, and corporate leadership to align entertainment with the goals and audience of each event.
FAIR, FESTIVAL & EXPO BUYERS
Fair, Festival, and Expo Buyers specialize in booking talent for multi-day events such as state and county fairs, music festivals, agricultural fairs, rodeos, and other large public gatherings. These members curate entertainment lineups that may include concerts, comedy, family entertainment, and specialty programming designed to attract diverse audiences. They may be the event owner, organizer, work directly for event organizers or be contracted to program entertainment for these events.
GENERAL BUYERS / PROMOTERS
General or Promoter Buyers are professionals who produce, promote, and present live entertainment events across a wide range of venues and markets. They may work for promotion companies or operate independently to organize concerts, comedy shows, touring productions, and other ticketed live entertainment. These members are responsible for booking talent, securing venues, marketing events, managing ticket sales strategies, and overseeing the overall production and financial performance of events.
VENUE BUYERS
Venue Buyers are professionals responsible for booking and presenting live entertainment at dedicated venues such as theaters, arenas, amphitheaters, clubs, performing arts centers, and similar facilities. These members may produce shows directly by purchasing talent from agents, collaborate with promoters on co-promoted events, or lease their venues to outside promoters who produce events in the facility. Venue Buyers oversee programming that attracts audiences to their venue and manage the business relationships required to present successful live events.
NON-BUYER MEMBER CATEGORIES
AFFILIATE
Affiliate members are companies and professionals who provide services that support the live entertainment industry and IEBA members. These services may include areas such as financial, insurance, primary ticketing platforms, marketing and publicity, sponsorship and brand activation, production services (including sound, lighting, and video), staging and technical services, transportation and logistics, event technology, and other professional services that support the planning and execution of live events. Affiliate members can also be managers and artists, unless they represent themselves as agents, in which case they would be classified as Agent members.
AGENTS
Agent members represent artists, entertainers, speakers, and other live entertainment. They negotiate performance agreements, develop touring strategies, and connect talent with venues, promoters, fairs, festivals, casinos, corporate events, and other live entertainment opportunities. Agents serve as the primary representatives and advocate for their clients in the live entertainment marketplace.
STUDENT / EDUCATORS
Student and Educator members are individuals involved in academic programs related to the live entertainment industry. This includes university students pursuing careers in entertainment business, music business, or event management, as well as professors, instructors, and academic program leaders who teach courses related to the live entertainment industry at a university. These members participate in IEBA to build industry knowledge, professional connections, and educational opportunities.
