Nashville native Steve Lassiter celebrates his 35th year in the entertainment business in 2012. He started his career in 1977 as production assistant in the concert promotion business with Sound Seventy Productions while finishing a Recording Industry Management degree from MTSU. After 4 years with Sound Seventy and obtaining his degree , Steve went on to the talent agency business where he has worked with International Celebrity Services, Variety Artists and Headline International Talent (owned by Ronnie Milsap). In 1985 he went to The William Morris Agency-Nashville for 12 years where he was responsible agent for Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels, Billy Ray Cyrus, Oak Ridge Boys, David Lee Murphy, Aaron Tippin, Trisha Yearwood among others and was also Vice President. He left William Morris in 1997. 

Steve landed at APA (Agency of the Performing Arts)-Nashville in July 1998, where he is Senior VP and co-heads the office of 9 agents and staff of 18 . He was named partner in the company in 2005 and is the responsible agent for Travis Tritt, Darryl Worley, Bo Bice, Tanya Tucker, Crystal Gayle, Lee Roy Parnell, David Lee Murphy, Little Texas, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Rodney Crowell, Restless Heart and others. 

He is past President of NATD (Nashville Association of Talent Directors) ,and has served two terms on the ACM Board, where he remains active on the ACM Special Events Committee. He is currently on the IEBA Board, an alumni of Leadership Music Class of 2009, the Entertainment Director for the annual Tennessee State HOG Rally (Harley Owners Group), and a former adjunct instructor at MTSU teaching artist management.
