Steve Lassiter

Nashville native Steve Lassiter celebrates his 30th year in the entertainment business in 2008. He started his career as production assistant in the concert promotion business with Sound Seventy Productions while finishing a Recording Industry Management degree from MTSU. After 4 years with Sound Seventy and obtaining his degree from MTSU, Steve went on to the talent agency business where he worked with International Celebrity Services, Variety Artists and Headline International Talent (owned by Ronnie Milsap). In 1985 he went to The William Morris Agency-Nashville for 13 years where he was responsible agent for artists such as Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels, Oak Ridge Boys, David Lee Murphy among others and was also Vice President. He left William Morris in 1997. After some time off, he landed at APA-Nashville in July 1998, where he is Senior VP and Co-Head of the office. He was named partner in the company in 2005. He is the responsible agent for artists such as Blackhawk, Collin Raye, David Lee Murphy, Devon Allman, Lee Greenwood, Tanya Tucker, Crystal Gayle, Little Texas, The Outlaws, Lee Roy Parnell, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Restless Heart and others. He is past President of NATD (Nashville Association of Talent Directors), and formerly served on the ACM Board, where he is still active on the Special Events Committee. He currently serves on the IEBA Board, CMA Festival Talent Committee, the IEBA Planning Committee, and is the Entertainment Director for the annual Tennessee State HOG Rally (Harley Owners Group), Leadership Music member and he is also from time to time an adjunct instructor at MTSU
