Todd Boltin

Variety Attractions

Todd Boltin is a 27 year veteran of Variety Attractions, Inc based out of Zanesville,OH, where he produces/buys talent for numerous fairs, festivals, and corporate shows in 15 states, as well as overseeing the day to day operations of George Moffett's Variety Attractions. In his 27 years he has had the fortune of booking many of today's superstars when their careers were in their infancy, and continued in their quest to build their respective careers. Such artists as Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Terry Fator as well as tomorrow's superstars Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Rodney Atkins and numerous others. He is a solid believer that getting new artists out in the fair and festival market and developing their fan base early, signing autographs nightly, doing all the meet and greets, etc. plays a huge role in the artist's future success. Boltin began booking newcomers Lady Antebellum two years ago before their deal was signed with Capitol Records. He liked the band, liked their sound and started putting them on shows wherever he could. In opening slots for The Doobie Brothers, Carrie Underwood, The Oak Ridge Boys, Josh Turner, Rodney Atkins, Kellie Pickler, Jack Ingram and many others. When Lady Antebellum met with Capitol head Mike Dungan to discuss studio time he could not believe an unsigned act at the time had all of those opportunities in front of such national acts, and the number of people seeing them. Lady Antebellum quickly spoke up and said, "There was a guy in Ohio who believed in us that much and put us on those shows." That guy of course being Todd Boltin.

Todd has served on the IEBA Arist Auction Committee for five years and has been responsible for getting such artists as Foreigner, Jo Dee Messina, Rodney Atkins, Billy Currington, Lady Antebellum and Sawyer Brown to participate in the Artist Auction fundraiser. He was also the sole source of generating and securing the endowment funds for the IEBA-George Moffett Scholarship which has been placed at Belmont University in Nashville. Todd is a long time IEBA member, as well as Academy of Country Music member, where he has been nominated nine times for the Don Romeo Talent Buyer/Promoter of the year. He is also a member of CMA, GMA, IAFE and numerous individual state organizations.
IEBA always has had a special place in his life. In his early years he spent a lot of time networking, not only with George Moffett, but also with George's close friend and industry pioneer Don Romeo, both founding members of IEBA.
