Jill Wheeler is a Promoter with Red Mountain Entertainment, based in Birmingham, Alabama, with another office in Nashville, Tennessee. Her career in the music industry began when she was hired by Ronnie Millsap to run his Fan Club. After graduating from Belmont University in 1985, Jill was hired at the William Morris Agency, eventually working her way into the agent-training program and as an agent booking the Southeast Region. In 1992 Tony Ruffino at New Era Promotions hired her where she began her career as a talent buyer. Jill spent 10 years working at New Era before leaving to spend five years at the Coalition of Independent Music Stores. In 2007, former New Era promoters Gary Weinberger and John Ruffino called on Jill again to join them at their new company, Red Mountain Entertainment, where she currently books festivals including Memphis' Beale Street Music Festival, Mobile's Bayfest and Little Rock's Riverfest, as well as programing for Red Mountain amphitheater's in Nashville, Orange Beach & Tuscaloosa.
