    More artists have been added to the annual conference of the International Entertainment Buyers Association October 11-13 in Nashville. Uncle Kracker, TobyMac and Emily West will perform Monday, October 12 at the CAA showcase to an audience of live entertainment professionals in town for three days of performances, educational discussions and networking.

    Yusuf Islam, the musician formerly known as Cat Stevens, is to return to the stage for his first tour since 1976, he said on Thursday.

    The International Entertainment Buyers Association has added four rising stars of country and pop to the IEBA HONORS lineup. Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Chris Young and Jessie James will each perform at the October 12 event at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

     Final numbers are in and the 2009 Minnesota State Fair just became the best-attended Great Minnesota Get-Together of all time. Total paid attendance for the 2009 Minnesota State Fair was 1,790,497, surpassing the previous record set in 2001 by 27,521. More than 97,000 additional guests visited the 2009 fair as compared to 2008.

    Legendary guitar icon Les Paul passed away Thursday from complications of severe pneunmonia, at White Plains hospital in White Plains, NY.  Paul enjoyed a tremendously lengthy career that included successful ventures in music, broadcasting, recording and inventing.  He was 94 years old.
